Winery Facility Rentals

Ackerman has one spacious event room available for rent that is the perfect spot to host intimate, casual parties. With seating available for 36 people, this private space is perfect for showers, anniversary parties or corporate events.

Ackerman Winery is located in the heart of the Amana Colonies, conveniently located between Iowa City and Cedar Rapids. Please note this room is not handicap accessible.

The cost will vary depending on the date and time you are looking to hold an event.

• Monday – Friday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.: $75
• Saturday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.: $75
• Monday – Saturday, 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.: $225
• Sunday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.: $75

Our rental periods range from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. or 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Your rental covers the entire rental period. For example, if your party starts at 2 p.m., we will have the facility reserved for you beginning at 10 a.m.

The renter may use a licensed caterer of their choice. Caterers must provide a copy of their catering license to Ackerman Winery prior to serving at your event.

Renters serving food prepared in personal/home kitchens without a license must first sign a Hold Harmless Waiver with Ackerman Winery before food may be served.

Renters are responsible for their own dishes, glasses, silverware and centerpieces. Please bring containers and coolers to take leftover food with you.

Ackerman kitchen facilities and fridges are not available for use. You are also responsible for your own silverware, glasses, and dishes.

All wine must be purchased from Ackerman Winery or Fireside Winery. (Also available at Fireside Winery in the Village.) Wine service includes the use of plastic wine glasses.

Guests may purchase Ackerman logo wine glasses at a discounted price of $2.00 each.

No one under 21 may consume or taste alcoholic beverages. Winery staff may ask guests for identification to verify age and reserves the right ask the group to leave if a minor is consuming alcohol or an adult is providing alcohol to a minor.

Renters may bring their own non-alcoholic beverages for their guests and are responsible for cold storage as no ice is available at the Winery.

The entire rental fee and deposit is due when the agreements are signed. If your event is cancelled, you must give Ackerman Winery 24 hours notice of your cancellation. Failure to do so will result in a forfeit of the entire amount. Refunds are at the discretion of Ackerman Winery management. Ackerman Winery has the right to rent the facility in the event a cancellation occurs.

Of course! We want you to make the space special for your event. The use of confetti, glitter, silly string, or helium balloons is not allowed. We also ask that you do not use nails or any other tack that could leave holes in the walls. Tape works great! Candles are permitted if used inside a container.
